ABOUT US
Visual Guidance Systems for Safer, More Efficient Equipment Operations
Incident Zero is an Australian technology company developing visual guidance systems that help operators position heavy equipment accurately in complex operating environments.
Across industries such as mining, warehousing and logistics, ports, construction and manufacturing, large mobile machinery often operates in close proximity to people, infrastructure and other vehicles. In these environments, operators rely heavily on judgement when positioning equipment, reversing, loading, tipping or manoeuvring in confined areas.
Without clear visual reference points, equipment positioning can become slower, less precise and more prone to incidents or infrastructure damage.
Incident Zero technologies provide clear visual guidance and highly visible reference zones that help operators instantly understand where equipment should be positioned and where safe operating distances exist.
The result is improved operational efficiency, increased situational awareness and reduced risk in environments where people and machines work together.
Improving Operator Precision and Productivity
Our systems are designed to support operator performance in real-world operating environments.
By providing clear visual alignment cues, Incident Zero solutions help operators:
Position equipment correctly the first time
Reduce hesitation and repositioning during manoeuvres
Improve spotting accuracy when loading, reversing or tipping
Maintain safe separation between people and machinery
Protect critical infrastructure and assets
These improvements help organisations increase loading efficiency, reduce cycle times and prevent costly incidents or equipment damage.
A Platform for Visual Guidance Systems
Incident Zero technologies are used across a wide range of applications where clear visual guidance can improve equipment positioning and operational safety.
Mining Operations
Haul truck spotting guidance
ROM bin alignment and strike avoidance
Stacker positioning guidance
Underground traffic management
Warehousing & Logistics
Forklift exclusion zone lighting

Equipment positioning guidance
Traffic flow and operational visibility systems
These systems help organisations implement practical engineering controls that improve both productivity and workplace safety.
The Safety Halo System
Our flagship platform, Safety Halo, creates highly visible 360-degree exclusion zones around mobile equipment, helping operators and pedestrians instantly recognise safe separation distances.
Safety Halo is widely used to improve forklift safety, machinery awareness and exclusion zone visibility in environments where people and equipment interact.
The system is durable, easy to install and designed for demanding industrial environments.
Engineering Safer Industrial Environments
Incident Zero was founded with a simple mission:
to prevent incidents by improving how people and machines interact.
Rather than relying solely on procedures, training or warning alarms, our technology focuses on practical visual engineering controls that make safe behaviour intuitive for operators and workers.
By improving how equipment is positioned and how hazards are visually communicated, Incident Zero helps organisations create safer, more efficient and more productive workplaces.
An interview with our CEO
As the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Ryan Hodder has been at the helm of Incident Zero since the beginning of 2022. Under his pioneering leadership, the company has experienced sharp growth in a very short time, and our unique Safety Halo system has become the industry standard globally for mobile plant safety. Find out more about Ryan and his vision for the business in this ten-minute interview. To connect with Ryan directly, you can also follow him on LinkedIn here.
Behind the scenes
Come take a look behind the scenes at our photo shoot in Riverstone, Sydney. In collaboration with The Good Egg Studio, which features the largest full-egg cyclorama studio in Australia, we photographed our signature products, the Laser Safety Halo and the LED Safety Halo, on a range of heavy machinery, including a fifteen-tonne front-end loader, a skid steer, a telescopic handler, a knuckle boom, an excavator, and an articulated dump truck.
